Look for Less: Carrie's Belt

If you've seen the Sex and the City Movie then you'll be aware that this studded belt appears in the movie almost more than Sarah Jessica Parker does. Ok, slight exaggeration but it stars heavily in the film and I'm sure plenty of you will be lusting after it.

Patricia Field styled the belt over a green floral dress (pictured) and a pink prom dress. Field told the Daily Mail, "I use a lot of belts in the movie - they're a great way to add interest to a look."

The actual one used in the movie was vintage so difficult to track down but for a bargain alternative

Did you see it yet? Are you seeing it tonight? Without sounding like an Eastenders ad everybody is talking about it and if not the storyline then the amazing wardrobe! Well, not all of us have the same (seemingly endless) budget as Carrie Bradshaw so I scoured the High Street for you so that you can get the look for less.

This specific look is worn by Carrie at the very beginning of the movie when she is walking around New York with Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha. It's probably the easiest movie look to pull off unless you like over the top style. It's a slight twist on classic smart style accessorised with a funky brooch.

Last but by no means least of the Sex and the City stars is Kristin Davis who, like Kim Catrall, opted for a red dress for the premiere. It's very Charlotte in style with a conservative length and high neck but Kristin still looks adorable. What do you think?

Earlier we saw Dame Vivienne Westwood on the red carpet and now Kim Catrall is showing off one of her designs. Kim, like Cynthia, is brave to try something different opting for a tailored asymmetrical red dress that doesn't necessarily do her figure justice. Red is such a great colour for Kim and it suits her here. What do you think? Are you surprised she didn't go for something sexier?

Dame Vivienne Westwood is the unexpected guest du jour at the Sex and the City World premiere in Leicester Square. She attended with her husband Andreas Kronthaler who is pictured here proudly showing off their cinema tickets. Vivienne is wearing a maxi dress with cut out floral detail and accessorising with gold skull jewellery. What do you think considering she is always a bit outrageous?!

Tonight London plays surprising host to the Sex and the City Movie world premiere. The stars have already started to arrive with Sarah Jessica Parker being the first to brave the red carpet. She is wearing a pistachio green vintage style Alexander McQueen cocktail dress with a matching coloured head creation that seems to nod to Isabella Blow and her eccentric London style. She is accessorising with a tiny green clutch and black McQueen heels. What do you think of her style?

Don't pretend like you're not actually counting down the days til the release of the Sex and The City Movie and that you haven't already dusted down your best pair of heels in preparation! But, have you considered a name necklace yet? Having a 'Carrie' name necklace (unless your name is Carrie) might be an obsessive fan step too far even for me, but fear not as they can be personalised and delivered straight to your door.

This necklace is by Punky Pins and will set you back a mere £20. Not bad when compared to those £400 Manolo heels that you're going to have to get.

Bag to Have: Timmy Woods 'Eiffel Tower' Clutch

Way back in September Pop US showed you a sneak preview of the Sex and the City Movie. Since then everybody has been wondering where Carrie got that amazing kitsch clutch from and now we know! US based designer Timmy Woods is famous for his quirky designed accessories (think Lulu Guinness with an American twist) and he created this clutch and also a diamond encrusted version ($2750). Personally, I prefer the plain version ($415 about £207) which is currently not available in the UK but you could order it from Nordstrom. It would make the perfect accessory to take to the movies when the film comes out on 28th May!

Sex and the City Girls Make a Red Carpet Appearance

Last night the Sex and the City girls made a red carpet appearance together for Point Honors...The Arts. The girls all looked suitably dressed up, I love Kristin's mac style strapless dress, it's very chic. This provided a good sneak preview of what the girls might wear for the film premiere in May. Sarah Jessica Parker added some embellishment with funky jewellery whilst all the girls sported killer heels.

Cynthia was awarded with the Point Courage Award for 2008. She commented, "It was just a real honor to be considered a role model. The more I met these young people - it's just very inspiring to know that the Point Foundation is there for them." The Point Foundation provides financial support and mentoring to young people who face discrimination due to sexual orientation or gender identity. See below for more images of the ladies.

Fab Flash: High Fashion Drama at SATC

The Sex and the City Movie isn't due to be released in the US til the end of May but we're already choosing our outfits and preparing our best pair of heels. It seems we're not the only ones worrying about what to wear as designers begin to bid to dress SJP on the red carpet.

An unnammed designer has reportedly been trying to bribe SJP with promises of free clothes for her son for life!

We can't wait to see what she decides to wear! There have also been arguments amongst the cast about arrivals, with the original plan being for them to arrive together. The drama is mounting already!

Earlier in the week the latest Louis Vuitton ad campaign was released starring Keith Richards and today it seems that maybe another was in the making, this time starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Chris Noth. The stars of Sex and the City: The Movie were posing in New York city with plenty of Louis Vuitton luggage whilst Annie Leibovitz snapped them for Vogue.

The images are expected to appear in the magazine next month to promote the movie which is due to be released in the summer. I love her silver-heeled shoes and studded tote. Do you like her outfit? It's surprisingly conservative for Carrie!
