This morning I was lucky enough to be one of the first people to check out the new supersize shopping mall in West London.
Westfield London has taken over ten years of planning (and a
credit crunch defying £1.7 billion) but it was finally unveiled to the public this morning as it was officially opened by London Mayor Boris Johnson.
A fashion show presenting looks available at the mall starring the gorgeous Erin O'Connor (modeling
Marks & Spencer of course) followed the grand opening before Leona Lewis took to the stage.

Yesterday I headed to the
National Portrait Gallery to get a sneak preview of their newest exhibit entitled
'Annie Leibovitz: A Photographer's Life'. Leibovitz is one of the world's best portrait photographers working today and this retrospective documents her work between 1990 and 2005. It's a touring exhibition that has already been shown in New York and Paris and will next travel to Berlin.

As well as attending
Manchester in Fashion this weekend I have had a few spare hours to check out what shopping the city has to offer. I couldn't resist popping in to Selfridges and Harvey Nichols to check out what designer good were in offer (I'm particularly a fan of the handbags on the ground floor at Harvey Nichols) and I stepped in to the
Arndale to check out Topshop. But other than the standard High Street stores I wanted to report back on the independent stores in Manchester which is why I headed to the
Northern Quarter.
There you will find a great selection of reasonably priced vintage stores offering funky paisley print dresses, reworked vintage fabrics and retro handbags.

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be taken to New York Fashion Week with a group of European fashion bloggers for the launch of the latest
Sony VAIO products. The new CS11 VAIO notebook aims to bridge the ever-closing gap between fashion and technology using bold colours and a new, easier to hold shape. Whilst there we visited Central Park, saw Equus on Broadway and checked out the famous Fifth Avenue stores.

Last night, I was lucky enough to be invited to Porchester Hall in West London for the filming of one of the Tommy Hilfiger sessions.
Back in April I told you about the launch of
Tommy TV where these sessions will be streamed around the world. The first London Hilfiger session was hosted by the
gorgeous Daisy Lowe with performances by The Metros, Steve Appleton, Zarif and John Legend.
