Earlier this week
Thandie Newton attended the London Film Festival in a bright yellow mini-dress broken up only by black accessories and heels. The colour was also worn during New York Fashion Week by
Leighton Meester who also accessorised with black. Yellow might seem like an unusual trend for
Autumn but this season it appeared on the catwalk at Diane von Furstenberg,
Versace and
Erdem (below left) to name but a few.

This may seem like an odd collaboration but this is the second year that
Sky have teamed up with young UK based designers for this project. Erdem, PPQ, Julie Verhoeven and Henry Holland have all created HD Designer Boxes. The launch party took place last night in London attracting the likes of Jodie Harsh, Daisy De Villeneuve, Henry Holland and Kelly Rowland.

On Friday the British Fashion Council
announced the 2008 winners of Fashion Forward. This year's sponsored designers are Christopher Kane, Erdem, Marios Schwab and Roksanda Ilincic.
The award provides financial support to UK based designers who are showing at London Fashion Week. It aims to create a sustainable fashion industry in London where the costs of production are slightly daunting to new designers.

Last night
Pop UK and myself were lucky enough to be invited along to a VIP party
hosted by Elle magazine for Sienna Miller's latest movie
The Edge of Love. Both girls attended with their Mothers (Keira's actually wrote the film), other guests included Matthew Williamson (
close friend of Sienna), Twiggy, KT Tunstall and Matthew Rhys.
Keira looked almost doll like in a gorgeous purple Erdem dress with Van Cleef and Arpels ring.
