Beijing has really been in the spotlight this year. Firstly for the
Olympics, and now Donatella has taken the Versace empire over there for the first ever fashion show for the brand in China. The charity show took place near Beijing's central Tiananmen Square and raised over $100,000 for survivors of the earthquake in China's Sichuan province earlier this year.

I wish that I could report that Kate Moss was in some way related to the Beijing Olympics but sadly this story holds no link with the current sporting event. That said, I think that Ms Moss should consider designing for athletes with financial aid from Sir Philip Green, imagine how that might look, actual luxe sportswear! Anyway, I digress.

Handbag designer Anya Hindmarch has set her sights on world domination with new store openings planned in Bahrain, Dubai, Kuwait, Qatar and Russia. She has now opened a store in Shanghai which is the first to open as part of her global expansion.
Hindmarch told Vogue, "China has always been a market that has fascinated me and I think it is very exciting that all the luxury brands are now present are considering China.
