Would You Wear Bright Coloured Jeans?

Okay, maybe not quite this bright but there are a lot of red, green and bright blue jeans currently available from high end designer to bargain High Street stores. The look has developed from last summer's penchant for Nu Rave where all the cool kids were wearing skinny red jeans with neon print t-shirts. This season the trend has relaxed slightly with harsh skinnies out and more flattering wide legged jeans in. Model of the moment Agyness Deyn sported a funky green wide legged pair last Spring, with a similar version are now available from French Connection. Would you wear bright coloured jeans? Or is it a passing-trend too far for you?

Fab TV: Prada's Trembled Blossom

Earlier in the month I reported on the growing importance of film in fashion promotion and advertising. This has been confirmed this season as Prada have commissioned James Jean to illustrate this short film, Trembled Blossom, about their latest collection. This week the short film was screened in LA as celebrities such as Nicole Richie, Nicky Hilton and Brooke Shields turned out to watch it. You can see the video below, I think it is a beautifully presented short film and really explores the influence behind the collection. Do you agree?

On Our Radar: Banana Republic Opens in London Tomorrow!

Banana Republic finally lands on UK shores tomorrow as a 3-floor store opens on Regent Street. The store first began in California in 1978 and has been an affordable location for chic fashion items ever since. The opening is expected to cause a stir tomorrow as hundreds of shoppers try to get their hands on a bargain or two. This video below previews the Spring collection which will be on offer in the store, it is similar to Zara or Cos offering grown-up on trend pieces.

I love the maxi-dresses, can't wait to go down there and see what all the fuss is about!

Kate Moss for Topshop Part 5

There are mixed feelings about this collection which is the fifth that the super model has designed for Topshop. The prices remain quite high (£60+ for a dress, £45+ for jeans) but there are some really nice pieces that channel Moss' own style. Highlights include vintage style dresses, funky denim and a few maxi dresses. It's definitely worth look, even if you don't particularly like Moss. I've got my eye on the black and white striped cardigan. See more from the collection below.

On Our Radar: Kate Moss for Topshop Part 5!

Kate Moss' fifth collection for Topshop is launched next Tuesday 18th March. Her collection is said to take influence from her travels to Ibizia, India and Miami which sounds like an eclectic mix. A sneak preview of five of the pieces from the collection can be seen below. Moss also spoke about the line in this weeks' Grazia magazine. She discusses individual items, for example the top on the far left (below),

"This is such a pretty top. Its kaftan feel and fluid silk gives it a beachy feel. It would make a great layer over a bikini."

She also talks about the leather jacket (middle),

"Love this - it's my classic cropped leather jacket shape, but with a slight Victorian infleunce."

My personal favourite is the dress (second from right) which Moss says was inspired by,

"My collection of unique scarves from around the world. It has a very eclectic feel."
