Beijing has really been in the spotlight this year. Firstly for the Olympics, and now Donatella has taken the Versace empire over there for the first ever fashion show for the brand in China. The charity show took place near Beijing's central Tiananmen Square and raised over $100,000 for survivors of the earthquake in China's Sichuan province earlier this year. 
Besides being one of the biggest fashion designers in the world, Donatella Versace is also a philanthropist. After seeing the damage caused by the Sichuan earthquake, the designer decided to take matters into her own hands. In a recent visit to the city of Sanjiang, Versace saw the travesty that killed over 70,000 people back in May.

Donatella Versace is never one to skimp on excess. Known for famously stating "more is more," the designer has just created what appears to be one of the world's most luxury perfumes. Despite the threat of a worldwide recession Donatalla's new fragrance will retail at $2,100.
The eau de parfum comes in a gleaming, hand-stitched white leather train case. 
Earlier this week Thandie Newton attended the London Film Festival in a bright yellow mini-dress broken up only by black accessories and heels. The colour was also worn during New York Fashion Week by Leighton Meester who also accessorised with black. Yellow might seem like an unusual trend for Autumn but this season it appeared on the catwalk at Diane von Furstenberg, Versace and Erdem (below left) to name but a few. 
It's one thing to battle it out with other gorgeous women in one of the sexiest designers of today. It's another to battle it out with the woman who designed said sexy clothes. Leave it to vixen Christina Ricci to wear an embellished body-hugging atelier Versace to the Whitney Museum American Art Gala.

Versace's art print is an acquired taste. Those who taste it seem to enjoy wearing it. Ugly Betty's Becki Newton and socialite/actress Byrdie Bell both took the plunge at the Whitney Museum American Art Gala in NYC in different cuts and colors of the Fall Versace motif.

Though different in age, Emma Roberts and Helena Christensen stepped up to the Versace plate last night. Emma decided to go simple in a black strapless LBD, but the sheen of her dress and her cool sandals kept things interesting. Helena, on the other hand, opted for a gray lace mini frock and sheer black tights.
