She then cinched her ensemble with a wide leather belt and kept her feet simple with black patent pumps. She dressed up her earlobes with large earrings — her signature. Gwyneth Paltrow confidently walked the Parisian red carpet at the premiere of her movie Two Lovers. Admit it: She took a risk wearing this Antonio Berardi sheer lace dress from his Spring '09 collection. Clearly we can see her panties and bra, but since that's the point of the frock, she doesn't seem to mind. Her black and white booties match her dress so perfectly, you would think they were made by the same designer. Negatory, they're Rupert Sanderson's Kit Kat shoe boots ($1,100). A diamond necklace and earrings lend shine and sophistication to the look. What do you think? Did Gwyneth shut it down or did she reveal too much?

Online Sale Alert! Savings at Revolve Clothing

If I could buy everything at Revolve Clothing, I probably would. Too bad the steep prices stop me. The good news is that its sale section has plenty of items for cheaper than usual. Right now you'll find dresses, tops, pants, and a few purses and shoes.

I have been eyeing this Nanette Lepore Ain't She Sweet Top ($160, originally $320) for some time now. It will give me a chance to participate in the sheer trend without revealing too much.

Sheer is my big tip for next season. Whether it's a sheer shirt or a dress with sheer detailing it's a demure yet sexy look which can be easily pulled off.

Madonna has already worn the trend and it appeared on the catwalk at Chanel, Luella and countless Graduate Fashion Week shows.

It's good to see the world of fashion returning to such a grown-up style of dressing. Team a Victorian style blouse with a pencil skirt (as pictured at Chanel) or wear a dress with patches of sheer with thick black tights.

If you are big busted then avoid a high-necked blouse, instead opt for an open neck or pussy-bow tie.

You really need to lighten up your windows! Move that thick velvet drapery to your storage closet in favor of some airy, sheer panels or shades. Spring light is nothing to shy away from; it should be whole-heartedly embraced. Not only will switching to sheer panels let in more light, but it'll give your home a more relaxed look. And, why shouldn't your home loosen up a bit when you're already sporting shorts and flip-flops? Here are a few styles that should fit the bill.

See-through clothes make most gals say, oh, sheer. But we can't avoid the trend altogether because it was everywhere on the Spring runways, including BCBG (left) and Marc Jacobs.

What we can do is find a sheer style that works for our lifestyles and body types. That's precisely what a good friend of mine did recently when she bought a see-through watercolor slip and wore it as an ultrafemme dress.

The key is to find a slip to pair underneath. Pick a fun color so it purposefully shows and mimics the runways. The next time you hit up a department store, don't overlook the lingerie department. Find a sheer slip that can pass as a dress or top, wear it with a colorful slip, and sheer on!
