Sheer is my big tip for next season. Whether it's a sheer shirt or a dress with sheer detailing it's a demure yet sexy look which can be easily pulled off.
Madonna has already worn the trend and it appeared on the catwalk at Chanel, Luella and countless
Graduate Fashion Week shows.

Selma always seems to have a trick up her sleeve when it comes to fashion — she's one of the few people I've seen attempt
the sheer trend and pull it off. Her Marc Jacobs grey cashmere shell and skirt look not only luxurious but comfortable. Insert Coco Chanel quote here: "Luxury must be comfortable, otherwise it is not luxury." Add some simple, beautiful jewelry and a pop of color, and you've got yourself a modern classic.

You needn't buy a
$19,000 four-poster to get the look of a romantic canopy bed. A few supplies and a spare afternoon and your bedroom will be fit for a queen, without the stuffy price tag. And, if that's not good enough for you, I'll show you
how to live like a modern Marie Antoinette.

In case you haven't noticed, it's Spring. Isn't that supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!. Yes, it is.

See-through clothes make most gals say, oh, sheer. But we can't avoid the trend altogether because it was
everywhere on the Spring runways, including
BCBG (left) and
Marc Jacobs.
What we can do is find a sheer style that works for our lifestyles and body types.

Many of us are reluctant to try out the Spring
sheer trend. When I saw Amy Smart at the Reebok Takes You Around the World in One Night event last night in New York I remembered that polka dots on a sheer blouse convey the perfect sexy secretary look. Worn with jeans, it's laid-back and sophisticated; worn with a pencil skirt, it's a great date look.
holleighz could stop traffic with her asymmetrical
colorblocked ensemble. I love that she tempers the hard-edged feel of her outfit with a feminine mop of
curly hair.
Here's what she has on:
- Top: Arden B
- Sweater: Limited
- Leggings: Gap
- Boots: Tribeca
Congrats to
holleighz!

Trends come and go, but the following stood out this year:
the return of color,
menswear,
sheer bliss,
global chic, and
art school. Lanvin was one of the designers who spearheaded the revival of bold colors; Ralph Lauren deliciously dabbled in menswear; Calvin Klein went sheer madness; Etro embraced tribal motifs; Diane von Furstenberg attended art school. All these trends have staying power but which do you think is the best new trend of 2007?
(L-R: Lanvin, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Etro, Diane von Furstenberg)

It never ceases to amaze me, how fashion forward you Fab ladies are. I go to New York, and
transparency is all over the runways for Spring, and then I go looking through all your
Fab Finds and what do you know, you're all over the sheer trend. The sheer look covered (or didn't cover, rather) your favorite skirts, tops, dresses, and even lingerie...
The Fab Finder of the week is

cute and wearable sweetheart top.
Some designers showed sheer bliss on the New York catwalks. The unveiling of sheer materials and details on dresses and skirts is a definite sign that fashion is saying goodbye to dressing little girls and hello to dressing women. What I mean is, sheer can be both sweet and spicy.
