There was plenty of sequel chatter immediately following the major box office success of the Sex and the City movie, but now certain head honchos are confirming that there is "a lot of energy behind doing another SATC movie." According to EW, "a sequel to the Sex and the City movie is in the early stages of development."
HBO's president of programming group, Michael Lombardo, mentioned that they're "really heartened by the fans' enthusiasm," and a source confirmed that Warner Bros. hopes to fast-track the project, though there is still no deal and no script. In fact, EW notes that "the lead actresses involved are taking a cautious attitude towards another film, not wanting to rush a sequel and risk disappointing their loyal fans."

There's been lots of scuttlebutt lately that Friends could finally go the way of Sex and the City and make its way to the big screen. Ever since the rumor resurfaced, reps for both the studio and the actors have been busily denying it, but it's still an interesting thing to think about: Can you really imagine seeing the Central Perk crew back together again. I don't think I can picture it — but then, I don't know if I could have imagined a big-screen SATC, either, and it's made more than $350 million in theaters worldwide.

What You're Wanting: Carrie Bradshaw's Apartment
For this past What You're Wanting, I thought I'd give you a chance to design your own version of Carrie Bradshaw's apartment. One look that really caught my eye was put together by Sundaygreen, who wrote "I think Carrie would pick out classic staples (chairs and other furniture) and build upon that with accessories and other 'this and that' items.

Thanks to the Sex and the City movie, studded belts are popping up left and right. For a friend's baby shower, sydnei took an old dress, old belt, put it together, and instantly channeled Carrie Bradshaw. Sexy in the city.

This (mainly) vintage Carrie ensemble was one of my favorites in the Sex and the City movie. It's also one of the hardest to copy. I did my best, but had to change the color story.

It looks like fans can't get enough of Marvel superheroes on the big screen as the company scored another hit this summer with The Incredible Hulk. Despite average reviews and the fact that Ed Norton's conflict with the studio over the final cut of the film became widely known, The Incredible Hulk pulled in an estimated $54.5 million over the weekend.
Kung Fu Panda held strong in second place while M. Night Shyamalan's The Happening exceeded many expectations by landing in the third spot with about $30.5 million.

I can't believe my eyes I'm seeing that Carrie's Studded Belt ($120) is currently on pre-sale at Patricia Field Online. Throughout the entire Sex and the City film, my eyes followed that studded belt more than the actual storyline. While Miranda's wardrobe was a bit over-dramatized, I loved how realistic they made Carrie's.
