Kim Winsler is on a mission to bring Aquascutum up to date with its peers including Dior, Burberry and Gucci. She began work at the classic British brand two years ago and has been working at turning round a business that was losing £10 million a year for 16 years. The new ad campaign aims to change people's perception of the brand featuring Giselle Bündchen and Jamie Dornan. Winsler told the Telegraph that she is pleased with the ad, "I love the passionate electricity; power is such an aphrodisiac."

This may seem like a bad time to be pushing such a luxury label but Winsler explains, "At the top end, we're going to continue to do well. The luxury customer is pretty well-protected from what's going on."

Up until now, she has managed to improve the brand without relying on the sales of accessories. However, Aquascutum have just recruited bag and shoe designer Sara Porro, who has previously worked at Fendi and Tod's. A trial collection, including vintage-style weekend bags for men, and hand-crafted, woven shoppers and long clutches for women, will be available in time for Christmas. We can't wait to see them!
