We knew that House of Holland could not live off printed t-shirts forever so it was great to see a slight change in direction from designer Henry Holland for Autumn/Winter '08. There was a brief flash of his staple item with a grey printed t-shirt simply reading 'HOH'.
There was a running Scottish theme for the new line, with nearly every piece featuring tartan and even a couple of knitted plain kilts, a contemporary colour scheme bringing the pieces up to date. The collection sourced from a bright colour palette with fuschia, yellow and purple knitwear. Kilt buckle detailing featured heavily appearing at the bottom of skinny trouser legs and on coats to continue the theme.
The piece de la resistance of the collection was a tiered tartan wedding dress worn by House of Holland muse Agyness Deyn. It was teamed with tartan antlers, tartan eye patch and a bridal veil.
